As my semester interning at Deep South comes to an end I am thankful for the experiences I have had these last few months. Interning with Deep South has exposed me to the everyday work environment of an entertainment group that is involved in several aspects of the business. This includes, but isn't limited to, anything from hosting an event at The Bar to going on tour with Kasey Tyndall. I loved getting an inside view of the music industry and all that Deep South does.

Before this internship, I never realized the complexity that goes into each event and concert nor how much is going on behind the scenes. Getting to go to the N.C. State Fair and see the backstage take down after two weeks of constant performances showed how much care Deep South puts into making sure each band has the best experience possible.

There was consistently new events and concerts to prep for each week. This prep gave me the opportunity to see a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone knows how to get things down in an efficient manner without being too hectic. I really enjoyed getting to see a little bit of how the music industry flows. The industry is undoubtably full of dedicated people who are willing to work hard and I really enjoyed getting to meet those involved. Overall it was a great semester that taught me a lot about the inside work of a company and entertainment group.
